Punjab Examination Commission is the mandatory authority to conduct the annual exams at the primary and middle classes. PEC starts registration process of the candidates of classes 5 & 8 four or five months before the start of the annual exams. PEC grade V & VIII admissions are started for the students in the government schools, so that the candidates can get admission and prepare for their 5th and 8th classes annual exams.
